The Cheyenne tribes live on the great plains, the flat grasslands of the central plains, in South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, and Kansas.
The Cheyenne nation was split in half by American relocation. The Northern Cheyenne tribe lives in Montana, and the Southern Cheyenne share a tribe with their allies the Southern Arapaho in Oklahoma.
§They barely had fish because in the great plains there is not that much of streams and there was way more grass.
They had rivers and lakes by their villages.

§ Today the Northern Cheyenne live in southeast Montana on a reservation. Southern Cheyenne live in central Oklahoma. There are approximately 12,000 total Cheyenne. They strive to maintain their own culture, language, and religion.
